Kivu Consulting, Inc. acknowledges that as of October 6, 2015, the European Court of Justice has determined the US-EU Safe Harbor regulations do not satisfy the EU data privacy standards. Kivu will work with the governing agencies to comply with the new version of US-EU Safe Harbor when it is finalized between the governing bodies. Until that time, Kivu will continue to work diligently with clients to ensure data privacy regulations are not violated.

Kivu Consulting, Inc. complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as established by the U.S. Department of Commerce with respect to PII within the scope of the Kivu Consulting, Inc. Safe Harbor certification that is transferred from the European Economic Area or Switzerland to the United States.
Certain types of PII may be subject to more specific privacy requirements, which are consistent with the Safe Harbor requirements. These include:
- PII that is acquired from or relating to clients or former clients of Kivu Consulting, Inc. may be subject to more stringent privacy and security requirements as defined in the terms of any contractual arrangements with the client, applicable laws and professional standards.
- PII about Kivu Consulting, Inc. personnel is subject to internal personnel privacy policies which have been provided to and are directly made available to Kivu Consulting, Inc. personnel.
